As a supplier in Prewave, you will have reached our platform via one of the following routes:
Supplier Network: this means you have actively joined the Prewave Supplier Network and have a free account in our system to explore, enrich your Sustainability Profile and supercharge your supply chain risk intelligence initiatives
Customer Request: as many of the world’s large companies use Prewave for their risk intelligence, one of your customers using Prewave has likely sent you a request to fill out a questionnaire, answer a statement request or fulfill another obligation. Via this request, you have a free supplier plan to use Prewave beyond your customer’s request
Hundreds of companies use Prewave’s solution to manage risk, compliance and sustainability across their global supplier bases. You, as a supplier in Prewave, have the opportunity to claim your Sustainability Profile in our network and represent your business to these companies.
How is my Sustainability Profile setup?
Our Data Science team extracts multiple data points about your business and publishes this in Prewave in the form of a Site Group (your brand) and Sites (physical locations of your offices, factories or facilities). By claiming your profile, you can make sure that our data is uptodate and correctly represents your business.
Prewave enriches your profile with a range of data channels that funnel into what we call the 360 Score. This is an important metric used by your customers to understand the “health” of your business in relation to risk events.
I have claimed my profile, what should I do next?
Your customer(s) monitor your profile, and run regular risk assessments based on the score. You, as the “target owner” of your profile, can take various actions to improve the score and credibility of your Sustainability Profile in Prewave.
Suppliers that are more engaged in Prewave see benefits from stronger relationships with their customers and potential new prospects that are monitoring your business
Below you can see a checklist of free ways to best represent your business and sustainability efforts in Prewave. Remember, the more enriched your profile is, the more credible your score.
Step 1: Challenge Data
As you own your business profile in Prewave, you can let us know if something is incorrect. It could be that we have got one of your Site names wrong, or the address. Other data points extracted and added to your profile can be reported to us by either clicking Report wrong info on your profile, or writing us at [email protected]
Step 2: Complete Assessments
Prewave offers a range of free questionnaires, called Assessments, which may be sent to you by a customer. To future proof your business and avoid various assessment requests, you can proactively fill these out. This directly affects your score and is a great way to communicate your business’ sustainability efforts to the corporate world. A step by step guide can be found here.
Step 3: Upload Certificates
Prewave automates a way to find policies, certificates or reports that you have reported online and publishes them under the Certificates tab of your profile. To make sure the data we find is correct, and upload any document that you feel is important, you can do so via our Certificate upload feature. A step by step guide can be found here.
Step 4: Respond to Alerts
Prewave runs a realtime, multilingual data collection that finds risk events reported around the world. If your business is mentioned in this risk event, we publish that on your profile. This information is scored. Companies monitoring your profile see this and take actions based on what they see. A good way to communicate resilience in Prewave is to respond to alerts. A guide can be found here.
Step 5: Nominate a “first responder” on Prewave
Imagine there is a fire at your factory. Prewave will catch this quickly and publish that as a risk alert on your profile. Companies following you in Prewave will see this alert and need to know if your operations have been affected. If you nominate a so-called first responder from your team, you can quickly enter Prewave and comment on the alert, giving an all important early broadcast to your customer base on the status of the event.
By completing the above steps, you can centralise how you communicate your resilience and sustainability to a global base of companies. Your actions enable a more credible score, improve relationships with your customer-partners and represent your business in its best light
