Data Delayed Reasons

An article outlining the different options we have in our system to delay a Product Origin Request

Updated today

Delaying your Product Origin Request is an option we give in the interface, where you can add a reason, comment and date. This will result in a response with the status Delayed, visible to your customer. By using this option you are committing to providing DDS information or out of scope answers by the date you select.

Take in mind that this is not a legally-finalised answer, but instead just communicates to your customer base that you are working on, or in process of, completing your request.

We give you four different options to submit a Data Delayed answer.

On all of the options you are required to provide a date of submission (must be in the future) as well as provide additional details in the form of a comment.

Legally binding DDS not intended before 2027

Select this if you are gathering the required information to be able submit Due Diligence Statements by the date of the enforcement of the EU Deforestation Regulation.

Lack of information from upstream suppliers

Select this if you are in the process of contacting and gathering information from your suppliers, but still waiting on answers or are unable to get the information you need.

Product complexity

Select this if the upstream supply chain for your product is complex and means a certain delay in submitting the required information

Other issue

Select this if you have a different reason for delaying your answer
